Brand & Applicant Protection

Know before your name is used to run a fake job.

HireSentinel monitors for job postings that use your company's name to run disguised, unpaid AI-training-labor scams — and tells you before it costs you applicants' trust.

A scam that doesn't ask for money — it asks for your time.

Classic job scams take money or identity. This pattern is different: applicants complete a real interview or "assessment" that produces genuinely usable output — and no job, and no pay, was ever on the other end of it.

69%
of scam postings in recent reporting lean on "no experience required" or "full training provided" language to widen the funnel of applicants.
500+
applications a single fake posting attracted within 24 hours in one documented case — with no real company behind it.
~6 hrs
is the typical time investment reported before applicants receive a generic rejection — or nothing at all.

Patterns above are drawn from public consumer-protection and industry reporting on this scam category, not any specific employer. HireSentinel evaluates postings and language patterns — not accusations against named companies.

Three steps, running on a schedule.

No scraping of LinkedIn or Indeed directly — both actively pursue that legally. HireSentinel works through standard search, the same way a person checking on your brand would.

01 · SEARCH

Watch for your name

Periodic search for postings and "hiring" pages referencing your company across the open web.

02 · SCORE

Score the language

Each result is checked against a weighted signal set — unpaid task scope, AI-only screening, unnamed clients, and more.

03 · ALERT

Tell you first

Medium- and high-risk matches are sent to you directly — before an applicant, or a journalist, finds it first.

Built on named signals, not a black box.

Every result shows exactly which signals fired — so it's a judgment call you can verify, not a score you have to trust blindly.

What the extension does with your data.

The HireSentinel browser extension only reads a page's visible text when you click "Scan this page" — it does not run in the background, does not track your browsing, and does not read pages you haven't asked it to scan. Scan results are stored locally on your device (chrome.storage.local) so you can see your own history; nothing is transmitted to a server, and no personal data is collected or sold. The separate company brand-monitoring service is opt-in and used only for the company that requests it.
